Midway’s Carter, Moore, and SMWC’s Parker Earn MSFL Week 7 Player of the Week Honors

The Midwest Sprint Football League (MSFL) has announced its Week 7 Players of the Week, recognizing standout performances from Midway University’s Christian Carter and Preston Moore, along with Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College’s Adonimi Parker.

�� Offensive Player of the Week – Christian Carter, QB, Midway

Carter became the first 2,000-yard passer in MSFL history (2,336) while leading Midway to a dramatic 22-19 victory over previously unbeaten Calumet. The junior quarterback completed 14-of-26 passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns, and added 17 rushing yards and a rushing score.

Carter engineered two late touchdown drives in the final 10 minutes to seal the win against a Calumet defense that had allowed just 10 total points all season. His leadership and efficiency guided the Eagles to one of the biggest victories in program history.

��️ Defensive Player of the Week – Preston Moore, DB, Midway

Moore continued his dominant defensive streak, recording his third consecutive game with two interceptions while totaling 10 tackles (9 solo) and a pass breakup. His performance was pivotal in containing Calumet’s offense and preserving Midway’s upset win.

Moore’s playmaking ability has fueled Midway’s defensive resurgence, with six interceptions across the last three contests showcasing his consistency and ball-hawking instincts.

⚡ Special Teams Player of the Week – Adonimi Parker, DB, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods

Parker made a major impact in all phases of special teams to help Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College complete a perfect 6-0 regular season and clinch their second straight MSFL Regular Season Championship with a 35–7 victory over Bellarmine.

The freshman from Evansville, Ind. provided one of the game’s biggest highlights with a 17-yard punt return touchdown, sparking the Pomeroys early. He also contributed four tackles, one sack, and two blocked kicks, demonstrating elite speed and situational awareness on both defense and special teams.

  • Special Teams: Adonimi Parker – DB, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods – 17-yd punt return TD, 2 blocked kicks, 4 tackles, 1 sack
