Midwest Sprint Football League Announces Week 6 Player Honors

The Midwest Sprint Football League has announced its Players of the Week following standout performances in Week 6 of the 2025 season.

Offensive Player of the Week – Demari Edelen, RB, Midway
Midway University running back Demari Edelen rushed for a program-record 220 yards on 18 carries in the Eagles’ 73-0 victory. Edelen averaged 12.2 yards per attempt and scored two touchdowns, including a long run of 33 yards. His performance established a new single-game rushing record for Midway.

Defensive Player of the Week – Preston Moore, DB, Midway
Midway University’s Preston Moore earned Defensive Player of the Week honors after recording two interceptions, both returned for touchdowns. It marked Moore’s second consecutive game with two interceptions. He also added one solo tackle in the win.

Special Teams Player of the Week – Connor Wardlaw, K, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods
Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College kicker Connor Wardlaw was perfect in the kicking game, accounting for nine points. Wardlaw connected on all six extra-point attempts and added a 26-yard field goal to finish the game 7-for-7 on kicks, providing consistent production for the Pomeroys.
