MSFL Announces Week 5 Players of the Week
The Midwest Sprint Football League has announced its Players of the Week for Week 5 of the 2025 season. Bellarmine senior running back Brenden Reid and Midway quarterback Christian Carter share Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Midway’s Preston Moore has been named Defensive Player of the Week and teammate Kadin Fitch earns Special Teams Player of the Week.
Co-Offensive Player of the Week – Brenden Reid, Bellarmine
Reid, a senior from Jonesborough, Tenn., rushed for 200 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries in Bellarmine’s 45-7 win over Oakland City. He averaged 10.5 yards per carry, including a 39-yard long run, and totaled 200 all-purpose yards while accounting for 12 points.
Co-Offensive Player of the Week – Christian Carter, Midway
Carter completed 25 of 38 passes for 333 yards and five touchdowns in Midway’s Week 5 victory. The sophomore added 17 rushing yards and is currently on pace to eclipse the MSFL’s single-season records for both passing yards and touchdown passes.
Defensive Player of the Week – Preston Moore, Midway
Moore recorded four tackles and intercepted two passes to spark Midway’s defensive effort in a blowout win over Quincy. His play helped the Eagles hold Quincy scoreless for more than 40 minutes of game action.
Special Teams Player of the Week – Kadin Fitch, Midway
Fitch responded to having his first extra point attempt blocked by converting his next four PATs. He also connected on field goals of 36 and 33 yards, finishing the game a perfect 2-for-2 on field goals and 4-for-5 on extra points to total 10 points for the Eagles.
