MSFL Announces Players Of The Week For Week 2

The Midwest Sprint Football League has announced its Players of the Week for Week 2 of the 2025 season. Midway University claimed both the Offensive and Defensive honors, while Calumet College of St. Joseph was represented on Special Teams.

Offensive Player of the Week – Christian Carter, QB, Midway
Carter delivered another outstanding performance under center, throwing for 253 yards on just 13 completions while accounting for four total touchdowns in Midway’s 50–0 victory. The sophomore connected on 81.3 percent of his passes (13-for-16), tossing three touchdowns through the air and adding another on the ground. Carter’s efficiency rating of 276.0 and explosive average of 15.8 yards per attempt helped the Eagles post their highest point total in program history. He exited in the second half after Midway built a commanding 43–0 lead.

Defensive Player of the Week – Tristan Euell, LB, Midway
Euell anchored a history-making defensive effort, spearheading Midway’s first shutout with a relentless all-around performance. The linebacker tallied 11 total tackles, including seven solo stops, and consistently disrupted Quincy’s offense. Euell registered three tackles for loss, two sacks, and an interception while also breaking up a pass and forcing a fumble. His impact set the tone for a defensive unit that smothered the opposition from start to finish.

Special Teams Player of the Week – Jeau Vinatieri, K, Calumet (IN)
Vinatieri provided a steady scoring presence for Calumet, converting a perfect 7-for-7 on extra-point attempts to finish with seven points on the day. His accuracy and reliability on special teams played a critical role in the Crimson Wave’s offensive rhythm, ensuring every touchdown was followed with a successful conversion.
