Simmons made a game-changing impact in the secondary to secure this week’s defensive award. The freshman defensive back recorded two interceptions, which he returned for a combined 75 yards, repeatedly flipping field position in favor of his team.

In addition to his interceptions, Simmons added one solo tackle and contributed on special teams with a 13-yard kick return. His ball skills, defensive awareness, and versatility stood out as difference-making elements throughout the contest.
